Job description

Abortion Care: At PPRM, we all work in abortion care. This role supports abortion care through direct clinical triage, patient education, and follow-up, ensuring timely and empathetic support to those navigating abortion services.
Union: This role is represented by SEIU, Local 105 and is governed by the terms of a collective bargaining agreement.
Travel Information: Float HCAs will travel to sites across Colorado and New Mexico. ~80% of the shift coverage needed tends to be along the Front Range (Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins), though, and within the Denver Metro area.
Our Ideal Candidate:
High-school diploma or equivalent. Must have excellent internal and external customer service, typing, communication and organizational skills. Must have willingness and ability to travel, including reliable transportation, liability insurance and a valid driver's license. Must be able to function effectively in an ever-changing environment and have ability to multitask and prioritize work. Must be highly dependable and have strong integrity and ethics. Health center experience desirable and Spanish speaking preferred.
What You'll Do:
  1. Travel to any PPRM health center in need as assigned and work as a replacement Health Center Assistant (HCA). (Signed HCA job description and duties to be sent to HR with this job description)
  2. Participate in abortion services (participation can include referrals, information, education, counseling, performing, scheduling, etc.)
  3. Demonstrate excellent customer service to both internal and external customers by working towards a positive outcome with any problems encountered.
  4. Work independently with little direct supervision.
  5. Communicate effectively and ethically using email, phone, and/or face to face interaction with management staff, peers, and clients.
  6. Serve as an advocate for health centers to administration and support administration policy in the health centers in a positive and encouraging manner.
  7. Assist in the training of new HCA personnel as appropriate.
  8. Perform any other duties as assigned to ensure client satisfaction and promote health center success.

Salary Range: Salary Range: $24.58/hour - $28.21/hour (includes $2/hour travel differential)
Additional Pay: +$2.25/hour for Spanish fluency (upon passing test)
Schedule: Full-time ~37.5 hours/week; Non-exempt; Benefit Eligible
COVID-19 Protocol: Vaccination against COVID-19 will no longer be a condition of employment. However, all Health Center/Patient or Community Facing Employees, must have the COVID vaccine or wear a mask at all times beginning November 1st. Proof must be uploaded upon hire. You will upload a picture or pdf of your vaccination card(s) prior to your start date.
Flu Protocol: All employees working directly with patients, the community or working in a health center will be required to have the flu shot or wear a mask during patient/community contact or while in the health center from November 1 - April 30 each year (Flu Season). Proof must be uploaded upon hire. You will upload a picture or pdf of your vaccination card(s) prior to your start date.
