The Automotive Technician Automotive Mechanic role involves performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on light trucks, passenger cars, and mixed fleet vehicles. Working within a small team, this detail-oriented technician focuses on vehicle inspection, diagnostic testing, and routine upkeep without the expectation of overnight or weekend work. The position is a generalist role, requiring versatile skills across various automotive systems to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify issues and assess repair needs
• Perform diagnostic testing to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
• Repair engines, brakes, and electrical systems
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes and fluid checks
• Troubleshoot and resolve vehicle performance issues
• Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed
• Collaborate effectively within a small team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in automotive repair
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• ASE Certification
• Valid Driver's License
• Proficient in engine diagnostics and brake systems repair
• Experience with electrical systems and suspension repair
• Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Effective time management skills
