About Us

We bridge the gap between automotive history and the future of transportation. At Flash Drive Motors, we evolve classic and unique vintage vehicles by transforming them into high-performance electric vehicles (EVs). We specialize in precision classic car conversions painstakingly preserving timeless vintage aesthetics while seamlessly engineering modern, clean electric powertrains. If you love classic steel but want to work on the cutting edge of automotive technology, this is your shop.

Core Responsibilities

  • Mechanical & Fabrication: Perform comprehensive mechanical overhauls (upgrading vintage brakes, steering systems, and custom drivetrain/transmission geometry). Execute light fabrication and MIG/TIG welding to create secure, custom mounts for batteries and electric motors.
  • Electrical Integration: Execute immaculate, concours-level wiring, soldering, and high-quality cable management. Read complex wiring diagrams and seamlessly integrate modern EV telemetry into vintage dashboards.
  • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Systematically trace, identify, and resolve both old-school mechanical quirks and modern low-voltage/high-voltage electrical malfunctions.
  • Physical Execution: Work comfortably on your feet, navigate tight spaces inside or under vehicles, and safely lift up to 100 lbs. when handling heavy components.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Classic Car Heritage: Strong, demonstrable background in classic car mechanics, vintage restoration, or hot-rod building. You understand old iron.
  • Precision Craftsmanship: Expert, fluid use of specialty hand tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments. You take pride in how the work looks hidden behind the panels.
  • Electrical Fundamentals: Highly proficient in automotive wiring, terminal crimping, soldering, and using multimeters for electrical troubleshooting.
  • Professional Mindset: Punctual, exceptionally reliable, a clear communicator, and an active team player.
  • Work Style: Self-driven and capable of managing your own station, yet remaining highly coachable and collaborative when engineering custom solutions.

Bonus Points (Not Required, but a Big Plus)

  • Prior experience or formal safety certification working with High-Voltage (HV) systems and battery arrays.
  • Experience with circuit board assembly, custom PCB repair, or micro-electronics.
