Job description
The primary responsibility of the Shipping Clerk is to perform functions related to picking, kitting, and preparing customer orders for shipping. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Essential Functions
- Pick customer orders
- Stage picked product for large orders, keeping product well organized while remaining items move through manufacturing
- Assist in kitting and other value-added functions
- Pack completed orders, label cartons as needed
- Generate packing slips and other shipping documents
- Palletize cartons, band and wrap pallets
- Assist in cycle counting and other inventory functions, as needed
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies and Expectations
- Proficient computer, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and work well in a fast pace, team-oriented environment
- Detail oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
- Able to frequently lift or move 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds, assisted
- Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop for extended period of time
- Possess fine motor skills and tactile ability to handle small objects
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience
- Prior relevant work experience is highly preferred
