Job description
The primary responsibility of the Receiving Clerk is to drive the company box truck between buildings daily, to verify and receive inbound inventory from manufacturing or outsourcing partners, to allocate inventory to customer orders, and to redirect overstocked inventory to the stocking team. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Essential Functions
Drive box truck between the manufacturing building and the shipping building each day
Operate order-picker equipment to access warehouse racking locations
Verify and allocate inbound inventory to either customer orders or to the stocking team
Pack completed orders, label cartons as needed
Palletize cartons, band and wrap pallets
Generate packing slips and other shipping documents
Assist in kitting and other value-added functions
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations
Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies and Expectations
Proficient computer, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated and work well in a team-oriented environment
Detail oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
Hold valid driver license and willingness to become licensed to operate order-picker
Able to frequently lift or move 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds, assisted
Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop for extended period of time
Possess fine motor skills and tactile ability to handle small objects
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience
Prior relevant work experience is highly preferred
