About This Role

The Teacher plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our students, overseeing curriculum development, and managing daily classroom operations. This role demands a profound understanding of child development, enabling teachers to create a safe, stimulating environment that fosters engagement and success. Effective communication with both children and adults is essential for meeting the needs of our students, guiding teacher assistants, and resolving parental concerns.


What You'll Do
  • Design and implement comprehensive educational programs aligned with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, driving engaging classroom activities for our students.
  • Set the tone for teaching excellence by modeling best practices and providing coaching to the teaching team.
  • Craft engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in our students, encouraging their active participation.
  • Foster open lines of communication with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and conferences.
  • Ensure adherence to our center's policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain a healthy, secure classroom environment, adhering to hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they adhere to planned activities and maintain safety and hygiene standards.
  • Accurately document and maintain records, forms, and files.
  • Stay committed to ongoing professional growth, regularly updating your personal development plan to drive continuous quality improvement.

Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
  • A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
