Job description
We are seeking an experienced 2nd shift (5pm to 1am) Turret Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. Previous hands-on experience operating a turret truck is required. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a turret truck to move, store, retrieve, and stage materials while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a turret truck to pick, place, replenish, and retrieve inventory from high rack locations.
- Move materials efficiently throughout warehouse aisles and storage areas.
- Accurately pull, stage, and prepare orders for shipping or production.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Utilize RF scanners, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and inventory tracking systems.
- Load and unload materials while maintaining product quality standards.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Previous turret truck operating experience is mandatory.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate their turret truck operating skills through an on-site equipment test.
- Experience operating a swing reach or high-reach forklift is a plus but does not replace turret truck experience.
- Valid forklift certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at elevated heights.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Basic computer, RF scanner, and inventory system experience preferred.
