Job description

The FCQS Team Leader is responsible for leading inspection teams while ensuring all customer quality inspection requirements are met accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers, oversees daily inspection activities, provides leadership and coaching to inspectors, and ensures compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
The Team Leader may perform inspection duties as needed and is expected to travel to various customer and service locations up to 1.5 hours from Dayton. Candidates must maintain reliable transportation and possess a valid driver's license. Mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with company travel policies.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Quality Assurance
•    Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective customers, providing quality solutions and exceptional service.
•    Represent the company professionally and uphold standards of Operational Excellence and customer satisfaction.
•    Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests and concerns.
•    Manage FCQS inspectors to ensure compliance with all company protocols and procedures.
•    Set up and organize job sites using the FCQS Project Book.
•    Implement, maintain, and train associates on approved work instructions.
•    Ensure project sheets, tally sheets, and customer documentation are completed accurately and available for review.
•    Update and distribute inspection I-Charts when applicable.
•    Maintain Project Books and document abnormalities, process changes, and work instruction updates.
•    Conduct at least one layered audit per week.
•    Review daily material requirements and maintain adequate inspection supplies.
•    Submit timely requests for inspection materials, tools, and equipment.
•    Ensure inspection team members are properly trained, technically capable, and conduct themselves professionally while working at customer facilities.
•    Report abnormalities, quality concerns, or operational issues immediately to the Field Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.
•    Perform product audits to verify customer requirements and satisfaction.
Leadership & Team Development
•    Lead, coach, and support inspection team members to achieve performance objectives.
•    Conduct timely and meaningful performance evaluations.
•    Provide ongoing performance feedback and follow-up.
•    Participate in staffing, recruiting, hiring, and termination processes for team members.
•    Foster a positive work environment focused on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
•    Experience in quality methods, inspection principles, procedures, and supervision.
•    Previous experience as a lead eight (8) or more employees in a quality-focused environment.
•    Knowledge of inspection methods and gage measurement techniques.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
•    Valid, non-expired driver's license.
•    Favorable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
•    Current and valid automobile insurance.
•    Reliable personal transportation for travel between customer locations.
Physical Requirements
•    Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
•    Frequent bending, crouching, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and handling objects.
•    Ability to work in manufacturing, warehouse, and customer facility environments.
