Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC) to join our team at First Base Therapy. This is a remote position, with occasional visits to our outpatient office in Santa Clarita, California.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse population of clients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your role will involve understanding the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client, ensuring that treatment approaches are culturally sensitive and relevant.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • A valid California LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC license in good standing.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a professional counseling role, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic practices.
  • Proficient understanding of evidence-based therapy models, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a capacity to connect with clients and colleagues effectively.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems to streamline documentation processes and improve client management.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

  • Specialization in specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other relevant frameworks.
  • Experience working with various age groups and diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Engagement in clinical supervision or the mentoring of early-career therapists.
Compensation and Benefits
