Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist

Fire Safety Systems Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable, COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST, to join our team in Buffalo, NY. This position is responsible for managing accounts payable, collecting outstanding monies, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall operations of the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and collections
• Communicate with customers and vendors regarding payments and account issues
• Reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial and accounting records
• Assist with month-end reporting and administrative accounting tasks with CPA
• Support office operations and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, and accounting support
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft, Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the service, construction, or fire safety industry is a plus
• Experience in collections and accounts receivable
• QuickBooks or similar accounting software experience preferred
