Job description

JOB BRIEF
The Warehouse Stocker receives supplier shipments, separates and slots merchandise and fulfils store orders and
distributions with efficiency and expediency. This position ensures the distribution of merchandise to the stores is
achieved while maintaining the highest level of accuracy.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
  • Set delivery appointment for shipments within requested time frames.
  • Receive and unload shipments in a timely manner when received. Avoid detention or lumper charges that could occur.
    Obtain prior approval for any additional charges.
  • Verify each shipment for accuracy against the Fiesta Purchase Order.
  • Ensure each carton is received in good condition with no apparent damage. Report any concealed damage within the
    appropriate time frame.
  • Mark all freight bills as received, note on bill if short or damaged cartons, etc. in the presence of the driver and
    obtain driver signature. Notify the buyer of any discrepancies.
  • Separate shipments by product and store in pre-determined area in the warehouse.
  • Prudently handle all merchandise and treat as cash.
  • Accurately and timely maintain the warehouse side of the purchase order and the distribution reporting system.
  • Notify buyer of shipment and adjust inventory to reflect newly received merchandise.
  • Select and fulfill orders per schedule and record store shipments.
  • Separate and prepare filled pallets for shipment, identifying and staging each pallet by store.
  • Prepare Bill of Lading for each store shipment.
  • Load delivery trucks in scheduled store delivery sequence.
  • Obtain driver signature for all goods shipped.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and conditions. Move trash/waste from area to dumpsters.
  • Maintain warehouse safety conditions. Follow all corporate safety guidelines. Report any hazards that need to be
    corrected.
  • Respond to communications in a timely manner.
  • Take periodic inventory counts and record all counts.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jack trucks as necessary. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
