Role Description The Sales Floor Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them to products that support hosting and everyday entertaining. Day-to-day tasks include providing product information, answering questions, processing transactions, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented, stocked, and organized on the sales floor. The Sales Floor Associate assists with visual merchandising, maintains store cleanliness, and supports inventory activities such as receiving and tagging products. This role also involves collaborating with team members, following store policies and procedures, and contributing to a positive, inclusive shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service and retail sales skills, including the ability to engage customers, listen actively, and recommend products that meet their needs.
• Point-of-sale and cash handling skills, with accuracy in processing transactions and comfort using retail technology systems.
• Merchandising and organizational skills, including maintaining product displays, restocking inventory, and keeping the sales floor neat and visually appealing.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact respectfully with diverse customers and colleagues.
• Basic problem-solving and multitasking skills, with reliability in managing multiple customer interactions and store tasks during busy periods.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and perform routine physical tasks associated with an active retail environment.
• Prior experience in retail or hospitality is beneficial but not required; a genuine interest in hosting, home goods, or design is a plus.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $19.50/hr
