Job description

  • Responsible for supervising, training, and leading a team of maintenance technicians.
    • Ensure the group stays current with industry standards, best practices, and internal training.
  • Responsible for conducting regular performance reviews and corrective actions when needed.
  • Accountable for ensuring that the group’s timelines are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring internal and external customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Responsible for coordinating maintenance responsibilities and communication across multiple shifts.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and skill-development plans for technicians.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining technician training plans.
  • Provide input and feedback to engineering to support new development and continuous improvement activities.
  • Effectively communicates technician policies and procedures during internal and external audits.
Maintenance Planning & Line Support – 30%
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining PM schedules to minimize production downtime using industry standard tools such as mean time to failure and planned vs. unplanned downtime ratios.
  • Communicate and coordinate planned down time with engineering, operations, and production control.
  • Identify high-risk equipment and minimize production impact.
  • Analyze and recommend staffing based on production demand.
  • Ensure the maintenance team is utilizing internal and external resources to support maintenance and line support activities.
  • Accountable for ordering and organizing spare part inventory.
  • Responsible for adjusting spare part inventory levels based on production demand.
Technical Support – 10%
  • Accountable for monitoring and continuously reducing technician response time and repair time during line-down support.
  • Responsible for providing technical guidance and support for manufacturing activities, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Responsible for departmental collaboration to identify improvement areas and implement solutions to enhance the manufacturing processes.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with equipment and tools, extensive knowledge of robots, PLCs, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, press equipment, torque systems, and familiarity with safety protocols are preferred.

Education: Associate’s degree or higher in engineering technology or a related field is preferred

Experience: 5+ years of experience in an automated industrial setting is required. 1-3 years of lead or supervisory experience is required.

Communication and Organizational Skills:
  • Strong communication skills are essential to interact directly with employees at every level of the organization Drive project direction, ensure deadlines are achieved, and deliver measurable results through effective collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager and Engineering Managers to identify and execute cost-saving initiatives that maintain quality standards.
