About Fellowship Recovery

Fellowship Recovery is a licensed Minnesota 245G substance use disorder treatment provider dedicated to helping individuals achieve lasting recovery. We are seeking a licensed medical provider to serve as our contracted UA Ordering Provider, supporting our clinical team and laboratory partner.


Position Summary

The Contract Medical Provider will provide clinical oversight for Fellowship Recovery's urine drug screening program by ordering laboratory testing, reviewing results, and providing required medical documentation and sign-off through our laboratory portal. This position is performed remotely and is designed as an independent contractor relationship.


Essential Responsibilities
  • Order medically appropriate urine drug screen (UA) testing for Fellowship Recovery clients.
  • Review laboratory results as they become available.
  • Complete required provider sign-off within the Valley Medical/VTOX portal.
  • Consult with Fellowship Recovery staff regarding abnormal findings or questions when needed.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable Minnesota laws, HIPAA requirements, and professional standards.
  • Maintain timely turnaround of laboratory reviews and documentation.

Required Qualifications
  • Current unrestricted Minnesota APRN, PA, or Physician license.
  • Authorized to order laboratory testing in Minnesota.
  • Must be credentialed, or able to become credentialed, with Fellowship Recovery's contracted insurance carriers prior to the start of services.
  • Current professional liability insurance.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or primary care preferred.

Required Credentialing

Candidates must currently be credentialed or eligible to become credentialed with the insurance carriers utilized by Fellowship Recovery. Proof of credentialing status will be required before the contract can begin.

Experience with Minnesota Medicaid managed care organizations is strongly preferred.


Independent Contractor Information

This is a 1099 independent contractor position.

The contractor:

  • Determines the manner and method of performing services.
  • Provides services remotely.
  • Is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licensing, and continuing education.
  • Is not eligible for employee benefits, PTO, or other employment-related benefits.

Compensation
  • $500/month based on anticipated laboratory volume of up to approximately 100 urine drug screens per week.
  • Compensation may be renegotiated if specimen volume increases substantially. This was built into your previous contractor agreement as well.
