Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: The barback assists the bartenders and other bar staff by ensuring the bar is properly stocked, frozen daiquiri machines are filled with product and clean at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Keep machines filled with product and the product in the machine hopper stirred

•Work to restock glassware/plasticware and maintain bar supplies throughout the course of the shift

•Change kegs when required

•Make trips to the storage area to keep alcohol supplies stocked throughout the course of the shift

•Pick up empty glasses, plastic cups and bottles from the bar and tables in the bar area

•Empty trash as necessary

•Wipe down bar tops and tables as necessary

•Re-stock garnishes and bar mixes

•Ensure there is enough clean glassware/plasticware for bartenders

•Re-stock ice as needed

•Maintain a clean work station and clean bar towels in each bartenders station

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

•Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with co-workers and guests

•Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture

•Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

•Must be at least 18 years of age

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

•Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of (15) hours a week

•Ability to stand/walk for 2-6 hours per day

•Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

•Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry

•Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors

•Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic

•Work environment: exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, drink machines, water, sanitizers, cleaning products, knives, other sharp objects, and slippery floors
