Qualifications
• Should have experience in retail or mail order pharmacy setting
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician License on or before hire date, verifiable through the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs
• Proficient communication, computer, and basic mathematic skills are necessary
• Must be able to prioritize with accuracy and dependability
• Reliability and punctuality are a must
• Desire and ability to work in a fast-past, growing environment and be a team player
• At least one year technician experience or completion of a Pharmacy technician training program
• Basic algebra
• The new regulations allow for a one-time temporary license for up to 1 year, during which time a technician must successfully complete requirements to become certified and meet all other State of Michigan requirements for a Full Pharmacy Technician License
Responsibilities
• Specialty Pharmacy Technicians work within either the Call Center or Distribution Operations
• Requirements, duties, and responsibilities align respectively
• Cross coverage and movement between teams is possible dependent on departmental and patient care needs
• Call Center Staff
• Must have excellent customer service skills, including listening, verbal, and written communication
• Monitor multiple queues for order entry and processing
• Answer incoming and complete outgoing calls from/to patients, prescribers, insurance PBMs, and outside pharmacies
• Work closely with clinical, medication access, and distribution teams to ensure timely patient care
• Hybrid schedule is set by leadership and subject to change based on departmental needs
• Other duties as assigned
• Prepare non-sterile compound medications
• Prepare medications for shipment
• Assist in the stocking and storage of inventory

This is a day shift position Monday through Friday with business hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed weekends and holidays.
