We are seeking candidates for a full-time, in-person 1st Swing Shift QA Technician. Shift: Swing Shift 1st/2nd Shift: (1st and 2nd shift). Candidates must be willing to work these shifts on weekends/holidays and as needed to cover other shifts occasionally. Summary of Duties Aseptic sampling of incoming ingredients, packaging, finished products, and various areas/equipment. Sample other types of collections such as well water.Verification of compliance to standard operating procedures and assistance for operations in the enforcement of standard operating proceduresMonitoring of process settings, material usage, and product weightsVerification of compliance with food safety, customer expectations, product specifications, and regulatory requirements.Determine of root cause, corrective actions, and follow-upPre-operational inspection of processing equipment and environmentMeasuring and recording product temperatures. Calibrating temperature measuring devices.Perform lab tests (e.g., water hardness)Communicating evaluation results with operators and supervisors and follow up.Keeping detailed records and complete documentation in a timely, accurate manner. Recognize the importance of data collected and the interpretation of that data.Execute the Product Hold and Release procedures.End of shift reporting including deviations and corrective actions. Assist in taking and transporting samples to the lab and review of lab test results. Update forms and procedures filingReview incoming items certificate of analysis. Work with receivers and review results of incoming ingredients.Conduct GMP audits Conduct environmental testing and send samples to lab Review production and sanitation records, follow up on corrections, organize, store and scan records. Maintain QA supplies inventory log Conduct verification checks on the lines assigned such as metal detector challenges. Maintain assigned food safety and quality programsOther assigned duties Requirements: Effective communication with all levels of the organization, as well as customers and regulatoryTeam oriented, but able to work independently.Detail oriented, organized, and manages time well.Self-motivated and proactive, focused on the task at hand.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Documents, and the use of digital camera Ability to train with new software (QA Studio, 3M LM1 Data Trending Software, Plant/Blow molding SPC, D365)Ability to train, use, and maintain various equipment: FTIR analysis of fat, LM1 for verification of equipment cleanliness, Metal Detector checking and verification, pH Meter, EZ Reader for antibiotic testing, and Thermometers.
