Work Environment

This LMFT position operates within a remote work setting, allowing you to connect with clients virtually while being part of a collaborative and supportive team. Although working remotely, therapists will have opportunities to engage with colleagues through regular team meetings and professional development sessions, fostering a sense of community and teamwork. We offer a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Family Rethink Counseling, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting individual therapy sessions that explore personal challenges, enhance self-awareness, and promote emotional healing.
  • Facilitating couples therapy focused on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relational dynamics.
  • Leading family therapy sessions that address systemic issues, improve interpersonal relationships, and cultivate family cohesion.
  • Assessing clients' mental health needs through comprehensive evaluations, incorporating diagnostic tools and clinical observations.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that best support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with organizational policies and state regulations.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic, client-centered care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on serving a diverse client population, including singles, couples, and families from various cultural backgrounds. By understanding and respecting their unique experiences and challenges, you will create a safe space for healing. You will be equipped with tools to address a broad spectrum of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, trauma, and more, ensuring that your practice is both inclusive and effective.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington State.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure experience providing clinical social work services, with a strong focus on therapy.
  • A proven ability to conduct diagnostic assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans that inform therapy interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with a wide array of clients.
  • A dedication to cultural competence, ethical practice, and a genuine commitment to social justice.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experience is preferred:

  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address client needs effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet the diverse needs of clients.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive salary, Family Rethink Counseling offers a progressive benefits package that includes:
