Faith Community Church (FCC) is a thriving church with a current average attendance of about 1300 in beautiful Hudson, WI, an affluent area just outside of the Twin Cities. Starting as a church plant about 30 years ago, FCC has continued to expand its reach into the city and across the world. The local community features excellent schools, abundant sports and outdoor activities, beautiful surroundings, and a health-conscious culture. FCC is voluntarily affiliated with Converge,amovement of churches working to help peoplemeet,knowand follow Jesus.
POSITION SUMMARY
The mission of Faith Community Church is to glorify God while making more and better disciples of Jesus. This role fulfills that mission by providing essential support to the Adult Ministries department and serving as the primary front office presence for the church. The Ministry Support Coordinator ensures smooth,accurate, andtimelyadministrative operations, helping create an environment where discipleship can flourish by removing obstacles, strengthening communication, and supporting ministry effectiveness.
This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a warm, hospitable presence that reflects the heart of our church.This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, friendly, and able to work independently while serving as a gracious and professional representative of Faith Community Church.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Office & Communication Support:
Serve as the welcoming front office representative, greeting guests, volunteers, and members in person and by phone.
- Answer and direct calls with warmth, grace, and professionalism.
- Manage incoming emails, mail, and messages, ensuringtimelyresponse orappropriate follow-up.
- Draft and send clear, professional, andaccuratewritten communications (letters, emails, memos).
- Maintain professional boundaries with members and volunteers, referring sensitive matters to pastoral staff asappropriate.
Scheduling & Coordination:
- Operate church scheduling software toschedule and managefacility requestsfor adult ministries.
- Oversee the scheduling ofadult ministryevents, ensuring accuracy, avoiding conflicts, and communicating details to staff andadultministryvolunteerleaders.
- Work withadultministryvolunteerleadersto coordinate event needs, while exercising discernment in balancing requests with pastoral priorities.
- Collaborate with other departments (Communications, IT, Facilities) to ensureadultministry and event needs are communicated and met.
- Manage calendars for assignedadult ministrypastors and ministry teams.
- Reserve and prepare meeting spaces and resourcesfor adult ministryas needed.
Administrative & Clerical Tasks:
- Accurately prepare, proofread, and distribute documents, reports, and ministry materials.
- Maintain orderly filing systems (physical and digital).
- Support data entry for church systems (attendance, registrations, etc.).
- Perform other clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, and ordering supplies.
- Stock andmaintaining office supplies.
- Management of office machines (copiers, foldingmachine) and office supplies, including purchasing, stocking, scheduling of maintenance and/or repair.
Ministry & Meeting Support:
- Provide administrative and logistical support for Adult Ministries, including classes, events, and volunteer coordination.
- Assistwith administrative processes for church-wide ministries (e.g., membership, baptism, or other classes) as directed by Adult Ministries pastors.
- Offer logistical support for staff, elders, and ministry meetings, which may include coordinating food, materials, and setup.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Training&Experience:
- Prior administrative or office support experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with office software.
- Experience with scheduling or facility managementsoftwarea plus.
- Active participation in a local church. Alignment with the mission and values ofFaithCommunity Church is essential.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability tolift upto 25 lbs.andassistwith occasional room/event setups.
- Willingness to adjust schedule occasionally to support church events or classes outside of normal office hours.
- Commitment to ongoing growth in skills and ministry understanding, including training provided by the church.
Performance Expectations:
- 95%+ accuracy in assigned administrative tasks.
- Consistent on-time completion of assignments.
- Positive feedback from staff and ministry leadersregardingclarity of communication, reliability, and hospitality.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing positively to the staff team.
