Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Fairfield Behavioral Health Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of couples and families to understand dynamics and individual needs.
  • Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, while also providing individual therapy when necessary, to address issues such as communication difficulties and family conflicts.
  • Devising tailored treatment plans that tackle a variety of challenges faced by clients, including grief, substance abuse, and adjustment to life changes.
  • Cultivating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment that encourages open dialogue and healing.
  • Collaborating with our multi-disciplinary clinical team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse clientele, including couples and families facing challenges such as:

  • Alcohol and substance abuse issues
  • Experiencing physical or psychological abuse
  • Dealing with grief and loss
  • Managing conflicts among family members, siblings, or blended families
  • Adjustment disorders associated with separation or divorce
  • Communication difficulties between family members

Your role is crucial in empowering these individuals and families to achieve healthier relationships and overall well-being.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess the following credentials:

  • Active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • A strong commitment to patient-centered care and an unwavering dedication to clinical excellence.
Preferred Experience

While we welcome both newly licensed therapists and those with significant clinical experience, preference will be given to candidates who:

Compensation and Benefits
