Job description

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator with experience operating Amada press brake machines to fabricate high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setup, programming, and operation of CNC press brakes to bend and form parts according to engineering specifications, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Set up, program, and operate Amada CNC press brake machines to produce parts according to blueprints and work orders

  • Interpret and read engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Select appropriate tooling (dies, punches) and perform machine setups for various materials and thicknesses
  • Perform first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances
  • Adjust programs and machine settings to ensure optimal performance and quality
  • Monitor machine operation and make necessary corrections during production
  • Conduct routine maintenance and keep equipment in good working order
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records
  • Follow company safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience operating CNC press brakes, preferably Amada machines
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication and forming processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, angle gauges)
  • Basic computer skills for CNC programming and machine interface
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good communication and organizational skills
