We are expanding into the Greenville, SC market and are seeking an experienced Director of Land Acquisition to lead our market entry strategy. This is a unique opportunity to be the first hire dedicated to the Greenville market.

Position Overview
The Director of Land Acquisition will identify, evaluate, negotiate, and secure residential land opportunities throughout the Greenville market. This individual will establish and maintain relationships with developers, landowners, brokers, engineers, municipalities, and other key stakeholders while helping build the company's long-term presence in the region.
Although a Land Analyst will provide support, this role requires someone who is confident performing land underwriting and financial analysis independently. This is a 100% remote position with regular travel throughout the Greenville market.
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate residential land acquisition opportunities throughout the Greenville market.
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, landowners, brokers, and industry professionals.
- Perform land underwriting and financial feasibility analyses.
- Negotiate purchase agreements and manage transactions through closing.
- Coordinate due diligence with internal and external partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish and execute market growth strategies.
- Serve as the local leader for land acquisition as the Greenville division grows.
Qualifications
Required
- Must already be established in the Greenville, SC market.
- Existing relationships with local developers and the residential development community.
- Experience with a homebuilder or residential land developer.
- Strong understanding of residential land acquisition and development.
- Proficiency in land underwriting and financial analysis.
- Ability to independently evaluate acquisition opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
