Family First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) to join our dedicated team in Paterson, New Jersey. This full-time position entails delivering exceptional physical therapy services to support patients in achieving improved movement and overall functionality. Our clinic boasts a modern 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility, fully equipped with advanced technology to facilitate optimal patient recovery. We pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive work environment, with a team that includes two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant. We primarily serve patients with private medical insurance, ensuring personalized and accessible treatment options.

Work Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in vibrant Paterson, New Jersey. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work schedule that promotes work-life balance. In this collaborative setting, you will have the opportunity to directly engage with patients and colleagues to foster a team-oriented atmosphere focused on excellence in care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their individual goals and needs.
• Manage a caseload efficiently, seeing one patient per hour while ensuring quality care and attention.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based techniques aimed at enhancing mobility and reducing pain.
• Utilize hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and other modalities to promote healing and function.
• Educate patients about treatment protocols and motivate them during their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with healthcare colleagues, including physicians and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Consistently evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary in response to their evolving needs.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment provided, and outcomes in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic rehabilitation, which includes treating a diverse range of conditions such as post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Patients at Family First Physical Therapy range from athletes striving to improve performance to seniors looking to regain independence. We emphasize a personalized approach, using innovative strategies to motivate each individual towards their specific health and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active and unencumbered state licensure in New Jersey as a Physical Therapist.
• No history of disciplinary actions or violations associated with professional licensure.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy and experience in orthopedic settings.
• Ability to develop and implement effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Proficient in the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, ideally WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is required, we value individuals who can bring innovative ideas and a proactive approach to patient care. Experience in utilizing evidence-based practices and familiarity with multidisciplinary collaboration will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
