This role combines project management, financial oversight, technical expertise, customer communication, and field leadership. You'll work closely with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, field teams, vendors, and internal leadership to coordinate every aspect of project execution, from estimating and procurement through closeout.

What You'll Do
Project Planning amp; Execution
  • Manage HVAC projects from conceptual development through final completion and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project estimates, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and schedule performance to ensure successful delivery.
  • Attend job site meetings and coordinate closely with field supervision to address project needs and challenges.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop solutions before they impact cost, schedule, or quality.
Field amp; Resource Management
  • Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, tools, materials, and other resources required for successful project execution.
  • Work closely with field supervisors and crews to ensure work is properly planned and executed.
  • Purchase major HVAC equipment and coordinate material procurement with vendors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate inspections, permitting, testing, and other project requirements.
  • Ensure project teams have the information and resources necessary to execute the work safely and efficiently.
Customer amp; Project Partner Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Participate in the conceptual development of projects and provide technical and operational input.
  • Review plans, specifications, and construction bulletins to identify project requirements and potential issues.
  • Work collaboratively with project partners to resolve design, scheduling, scope, and construction challenges.
  • Communicate project status, changes, risks, and financial performance to appropriate stakeholders.
Financial amp; Contract Management
  • Monitor project financial performance against established budgets and estimates.
  • Manage contract administration, including change orders, billing, expenses, rental equipment, collections, and related documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to control costs and protect project profitability.
  • Communicate financial information and project changes effectively with accounting and internal leadership.
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure project requirements are understood and properly documented.
Project Closeout amp; Quality
  • Lead the project closeout process and ensure all required documentation is completed.
  • Coordinate resolution of punch list items and outstanding project issues.
  • Ensure as-built drawings, IOM manuals, test and balance reports, warranty documentation, and other closeout materials are properly completed and distributed.
  • Ensure projects meet customer expectations and company quality standards.
  • Support warranty resolution and post-project customer needs.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience directly managing HVAC projects, including design-build and plan/spec projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, mechanical construction, project execution, and construction processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, drawings, and construction bulletins.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, manpower, and subcontractor/vendor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, cost control, change orders, billing, and contract administration.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard project management tools.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four-year degree or technical education in HVAC, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing complex commercial HVAC projects from conceptual development through closeout.
  • Experience working directly with owners, general contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Experience with HVAC estimating, design-build, and plan/spec construction.
  • Experience with project management or construction management software.

Travel Requirements
  • Regular travel to customer locations, construction sites, project meetings, and company offices.
  • Frequent visits to active construction sites throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Occasional travel may be required for vendor meetings, training, or company events.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly visit and walk active construction sites.
  • Ability to navigate mechanical rooms, construction areas, ladders, stairs, and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) on construction sites.
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments and weather conditions.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and operate standard office technology for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
