Role Description This full-time, on-site Salesperson role is based in Baton Rouge, LA. The Salesperson will greet customers in the showroom, assess their needs, and guide them through product options, features, pricing, and installation services. Daily tasks include preparing quotes, following up on leads and inquiries, processing orders, and coordinating with installation and warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery. The role also involves maintaining product knowledge, updating showroom displays, and using basic sales and customer relationship tools to track opportunities and close sales. The Salesperson will contribute to store sales goals while providing a respectful, supportive, and solutions-oriented experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service and sales skills, including the ability to listen, ask clarifying questions, and present solutions.
• Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems, email, and common office software to create quotes, track orders, and manage customer information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with customers and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Ability to learn and retain product and installation information, including flooring types, care requirements, and suitability for different environments.
• Comfort working in a retail or showroom environment, including standing for extended periods and occasionally assisting with light product handling.
• Self-motivated approach with reliable time management, follow-up, and attention to detail in documentation and order processing.
• Prior experience in retail sales, home improvement, interior design, or flooring is beneficial but not mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in sales or related fields is a plus. Spanish speaking is a plus.
