Overview
Executive Search Associates is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist to join the Oncology Research Institute, a well-established, community-based oncology practice in Bakersfield, California.
This role offers a unique balance between patient care and clinical research, ideal for physicians who value meaningful patient interactions, longer visit times, and the opportunity to participate in clinical trials within a collaborative, physician-led environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across oncology services
- Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives
- Support the growth and development of oncology programs
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Active California license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical background in adult oncology
- Interest or experience in clinical trials preferred
- Guaranteed base salary: $650K-$850K (first 3 years)
- Productivity-based bonus structure (wRVU model)
- No after-hours or weekend call
- 20 days PTO + CME allowance and paid time
- Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), malpractice with tail
- Relocation assistance available
