About the Role:

The QC Inspector III plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality within the manufacturing process. This position is responsible for conducting detailed inspections and audits of products and materials to verify compliance with company specifications and industry standards. The role involves identifying defects, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to implement corrective actions that enhance product quality and operational efficiency. The QC Inspector III also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data and recommending process enhancements. Ultimately, this position ensures that all manufactured products meet rigorous quality requirements, thereby supporting customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using quality inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards (such as ISO 9001), and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Quality Inspector (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) or equivalent.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Familiarity with computerized quality management systems (QMS) and data analysis software.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within quality control.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to assess product dimensions, functionality, and durability.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records to support quality control reporting and traceability.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of quality issues and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems to ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
  • Train and mentor junior quality control staff to promote best practices and maintain consistent inspection standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing defects, improving process efficiency, and enhancing overall product quality.
