Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one psychotherapy sessions to individuals navigating mental health issues in the context of substance abuse treatment.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, ensuring each client's unique needs are met.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address substance abuse and related mental health concerns.
• Maintain detailed clinical records that comply with all regulatory standards and facilitate effective treatment tracking.
• Collaborate continuously with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure cohesive care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health resources and coping strategies to enhance their recovery process.
• Stay current with the latest research in substance abuse treatment and integrate new knowledge into practice.
• Manage an achievable caseload, ensuring that all clients receive timely care and support while meeting their treatment goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The client population at Evolve Social Work Center primarily includes individuals undergoing recovery from substance use disorders. Many of these clients also experience co-occurring mental health issues, which require a nuanced approach to treatment that addresses both their substance use and mental health needs. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active LCSW license in the state of New Jersey.
