Job description

You became a therapist to help people heal-not to spend your evenings chasing paperwork, fighting insurance companies, or feeling isolated in private practice.
At Evolution Wellness, we believe clinicians deserve the same care, support, and balance that they help their clients create. We've built a practice where therapists can focus on excellent clinical work while our administrative team handles the logistics behind the scenes.
We are seeking a Full-Time Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT) to join our growing outpatient counseling practice in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Why Join Evolution Wellness?
Focus on Therapy, Not Administrative Tasks
Our support team handles scheduling, insurance verification, billing, credentialing, and client communications so you can spend your energy where it belongs-helping clients.
Consistent Referrals
We maintain strong community relationships and receive a steady flow of referrals, allowing clinicians to build and maintain a healthy caseload.
Collaborative Team Culture
Private practice doesn't have to feel isolating. Our clinicians regularly consult, collaborate, and support one another while maintaining clinical autonomy.
Sustainable Work-Life Balance
We believe great therapists are effective because they're well-supported-not overworked. We prioritize manageable caseloads, protected personal time, and long-term career satisfaction.
Beautiful Office Spaces
Work from thoughtfully designed, fully furnished offices that create a welcoming experience for both clinicians and clients.
Benefits
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • CEU stipend
  • Professional liability coverage
  • Administrative and billing support
  • Marketing and referral support
  • Clinical consultation opportunities
  • Flexible scheduling options

Responsibilities
  • Provide in-person and/or telehealth therapy services to individuals, couples, families, and adolescents
  • Complete diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in team meetings, consultations, and professional development opportunities
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards consistent with licensure requirements

Qualifications
Required
  • Active, unrestricted North Carolina license as an LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT
  • Master's degree or higher in a mental health-related field
  • Ability to practice independently without supervision
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
  • Excellent documentation and organizational abilities

Preferred
  • Experience working with anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship concerns, or life transitions
  • Training in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Gottman Method, ACT, or related approaches
  • Experience working with couples, adolescents, or families

Who Thrives at Evolution Wellness?
Our strongest clinicians tend to be:
  • Warm, authentic, and relationship-focused
  • Clinically confident and independently licensed
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Motivated to continue learning and growing
  • Passionate about providing high-quality care while maintaining personal well-being

If you're looking for a practice where you'll be supported, respected, and given the resources to do your best work, we'd love to hear from you.
