Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients suffering from orthopedic conditions or recovering from surgery to assess their physical abilities and limitations.
• Developing detailed and individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, incorporating specific therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
• Regularly reassessing patient progress toward rehabilitation goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Documenting patient interactions and treatment sessions through accurateSOAP notes and clinical summaries in the company's electronic health record (EHR) system within designated timeframes.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families about recovery processes, setting realistic expectations, and discussing any challenges that may arise during rehabilitation.
• Maintaining effective communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to coordinate care for patients receiving multiple therapies.
• Contributing to achieving clinic goals and maintaining minimum utilization standards through effective patient management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of patients, ranging from adolescents to seniors, who experience a variety of orthopedic issues, including sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Your work will have a direct impact on their physical recovery and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• Current and unrestricted licensure as a physical therapist by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct evaluations and treatment plans for orthopedic patients effectively, in both in-person and telehealth settings when appropriate.
• A strong commitment to working with a diverse patient population, adapting to their unique needs and backgrounds.
• Flexibility and agility in a fast-paced environment, responding to the evolving needs of our patients and clinic operations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is highly preferred, especially in outpatient settings.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Previous collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a rehabilitation facility is advantageous.
