Job description

Position Summary:

Manages the overall order and operations of Everstand's programs. Provides leadership, coaching and direction to staff and families.Understands and implements policies according to agency standards and enforces policies across our continuum of care. Effectively works as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates excellence in problem solving, communication, and documentation. Serves as a liaison to our community partners by maintaining positive professional relationships. Provides support for effective supervision to direct care staff and campus. Serves in partnership to the On-Call Supervisor for support of managing on-call staff coverage.

Essential Functions:

  • Model and act in accordance with Everstand's core values.
  • Demonstrate and practice trauma informed leadership.
  • Provides accurate, detailed and timely information to the designated Administrator on Call; reporting any health and safety concerns, environmental accidents, motor vehicle accidents, arrests, serious hospitalizations and major campus or community incidents.
  • Provides accurate, detailed and timely information to the designated Administrator on Call when requesting to activate the therapist on call. Contacts the TOC with accurate and detailed information related to the youth's behavioral health emergency.
  • Ensures that the campus is operating within the contractual staffing ratios for each program area and/or to meet the current safety needs. Reports attempts to find coverage to the Administrator on Call when requesting to activate the Mandatory on Call Staff, utilize OT or initiates a freeze. Completes the Overtime Utilization Form each time an AOC approves the use of OT.
  • Completes rounds throughout the campus providing oversight, coaching, and guidance to the staff and youth. Provides feedback to staff regarding health and safety concerns. Documents health and safety concerns on the Campus Supervisor Shift Report. Checks the logbooks during these rounds to ensure that documentation is current and consistent with the current activity.
  • Contributes to the prevention and management of challenging behaviors by implementing the Everstand's Behavior Management and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention techniques.


Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Provides effective supervision to childcare staff to ensure that childcare services are consistently provided based upon the Everstand's treatment philosophy, mission, practices and policies.
  • Provides direct feedback to Supervisors for the use of their talent guidance's, supervisions, bi-annuals, and annual evaluations.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm varied with 2:00pm-11:00pm. Flexibility to include evening and weekend hours at both on-site and off-site locations. The position is essential for weather emergencies.


Travel

Travel to and from other Everstand locations is expected. At times out of State travel may be required to assist in transporting a youth.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 1 year work experience with children.
  • Must be certified in Medication Administration through the State of Pennsylvania during employment. (Training provided by the agency).

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree with three years supervisory or management experience.

  • A master's degree with one year supervisory or management experience.

Work Environment:

In the nature of being at a residential and school living environment there may be times you experience conditions in which challenging behavior can be exhibited from our youth to include but not limited to, physical agitation, physical violence and/or emotion outburst.
