Space Tango provides space-based automated facilities and payloads to support research and development and small-scale manufacturing needs of our partners and customers in the Low Earth Orbit environment and beyond. The Brand and Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing Space Tango's brand and communications initiatives, including brand strategy, creative direction, public relations, and asset management. This role leads the development and execution of campaigns and communications efforts that strengthen brand awareness, enhance corporate reputation, and engage key stakeholders. Working closely with the Director of Corporate Development and the Business Development team, the Brand and Communications Manager ensure consistent alignment with corporate objectives across all brand assets, including websites, social media platforms, events, marketing materials, and branded merchandise.


Ideal candidates are based in the Lexington, KY or Washington D.C. areas.  This position will require occasional travel. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Brand Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute brand strategies that enhance Space Tango's visibility, reputation, and market position in alignment with the company's mission, vision, and business objectives. Work closely with the Director of Corporate Development and the Business Development team to ensure branding and communications efforts support corporate priorities, customer engagement, partnership development, and growth initiatives.
  • Asset Ownership and Management: Oversee and manage all brand assets including websites, social media channels, blogs, swag, and other branded materials to ensure they reflect the brand identity. This includes regularly updating platforms, collaborating with internal teams, and managing external vendors to produce high-quality assets.
  • Communications and Public Relations: Develop and execute external communications strategies that strengthen awareness of Space Tango's capabilities, achievements, and industry leadership. Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and corporate announcements. Cultivate relationships with media outlets, industry publications, and strategic partners to secure positive media coverage and thought leadership opportunities. Support executive communications and messaging as needed.
  • Conference and Event Management: Lead the planning, organization, and execution of Space Tango's participation in industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and sponsored engagements. Manage event logistics, booth design and procurement, sponsorship activations, promotional materials, speaking opportunities, attendee engagement strategies, and post-event follow-up activities.
  • Creative Oversight: Lead the development of branding and marketing materials, including advertisements, presentations, digital content, promotional items, event assets, and sponsorship activations. Ensure all creative outputs align with brand standards and effectively communicate Space Tango's value proposition.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage branding, communications, and event budgets. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors, agencies, and service providers to maximize value and ensure effective use of resources.
  • Brand Activation and Market Presence: Manage the company's brand presence across in-person and virtual engagements, ensuring a consistent and professional representation of Space Tango across customer, partner, investor, and industry interactions.
Requirements:

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience


Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field. 
  • 3-5 years' experience in brand management, public relations, business development, graphic design, or marketing within space, technology, or related industries
  • Proven track record of managing brand campaigns, creative assets, and marketing initiatives
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar tools, Social Media Business Pages and Content Creation, WordPress, Mailchimp, Eventbrite or similar event management software, Microsoft 365, Google Analytics
