American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a CA RN license and 2 years of OR experience with Epic charting.
Details- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
- Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule with variable start times (0630-1500, 0830-1700, 1100-1830)
- 13-week assignment length
- Epic charting system used
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate/sister facilities
- Handles a variety of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, vascular, urology, neurology, and thoracic procedures
- Utilizes robotic surgery equipment including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
- Active CA RN license required in hand at time of submission
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Copies of certifications required for consideration
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Skills/experience in trauma cases, general surgery, orthopedic, endoscopic, and vascular procedures preferred
- Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties across a range of surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, vascular, urology, neurology, and thoracic surgery
- Willingness to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) required
- Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of the facility, or accept a lower bill rate if outside this radius
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for this role
