LINE COOK POSITION SUMMARY

Estefan Kitchen Orlando is looking for a hardworking, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while upholding exceptional food quality standards, hygiene, and safety regulations in compliance with local and federal health codes.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

Food Preparation & Cooking:

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Estefan Kitchen Orlando's authentic Latin cuisine recipes and presentation standards.
• Set up and stock cooking stations with the necessary ingredients and tools before service.
• Ensure all food is prepared fresh, cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully to meet guest expectations.
• Follow precise portion control and ingredient measurements to maintain food cost and quality consistency.

Health & Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations, including FDA and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by following strict hygiene and food handling procedures.
• Store ingredients properly using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to prevent waste and contamination.
• Monitor and record food temperatures, ensuring all dishes meet food safety standards.
• Follow SERV Safe guidelines and use proper kitchen PPE to ensure a safe work environment.

Kitchen Efficiency & Teamwork:

• Work efficiently under pressure, especially during peak dining hours.
• Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and quick turnaround times.
• Assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, and proper ingredient storage.
• Adapt to changes in the menu, special requests, and last-minute modifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent knife skills, timing, and multitasking abilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• SERV Safe certification or other food safety certification is a plus.
• Passion for Latin cuisine and a strong work ethic.
• Speak English & Spanish
