Position Overview

Enlightened Essence Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments to understand the mental health concerns of clients. This includes detailed interviews and standardized diagnostic tools to accurately formulate clinical diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address the unique needs and objectives of each client.
• Offer crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute mental health episodes, utilizing de-escalation techniques and collaborative decision-making to ensure their immediate safety and well-being.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, including detailed progress notes, treatment plans, and assessment results.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a well-rounded support system for clients, coordinating care planning and treatment options as needed.
• Act as an educator for clients and their families, providing essential information about mental health issues, treatment processes, and local resources that can enhance their support network.
• Participate in continuous professional development through training workshops and seminars to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele encompasses a wide range of individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, often dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. By offering culturally competent therapeutic interventions, you will help clients navigate their unique mental health journeys and support them in achieving their psychological health goals.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in Maryland, with qualifications such as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related mental health field.
• Proven clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to accurately identify client needs.
• Minimum of two years of related professional experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Ability to work autonomously while also being an integral part of a collaborative team dynamic.
• A commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and professionalism in all therapeutic interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in community health settings or with diverse populations is highly valued, although it is not a strict requirement for all applicants.
• Experience in offering remote counseling services or familiarity with telehealth platforms is an asset, given our virtual work environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering a yearly salary of USD 85,000 – 100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a sign-on bonus to help with your transition into our organization.
