Job Description Summary

Enterprise Community Partners isseeking astrong, experienced housing leaderto join ourPacific Northwest Market teamtolead all housing programmatic and policy efforts across Oregon and Washington.The Director willoversee, manage and guide the execution of multiple existing high-impact programs to catalyze housing production and preservation, including Home & Hope and the Faith Based Development Initiative, design and implement new housing programs, and lead local and regional policy efforts to advance housing affordability.The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic, effective leader eager to support the Enterprise team and external partners.

The positionis located inSeattleand will report tothe VP, Pacific Northwest Market Leader.This position will overseemultiple junior staff.

Job Description


Internally Directed:

  • Manage the performance ofvisible and impactful housingprograms, including the primary responsibility of stewarding multiple contracts totaling millions of dollars, which require significant oversight of fund disbursement, contract management and performance evaluation and reporting.

  • Supervisestaffwhoaresupportingseveral programsandinitiativesand manage staff performance throughgoal setting, ongoing assessment,reportingand communication.

  • Design, develop and lead newinitiativesonaffordable housingproduction,preservationand sustainability, including expanding initiatives in new geographiesin the multi-state region and support fundraising efforts to resource new opportunities.

  • Lead capacity building, technicalassistance,trainingsanddeveloptoolkits to strengthen the capacity of the sector - primarily affordable housing developers, community-based organizations,andprivate andpublicsectorpartners.

  • Build the capacity of public agenciesthrough training and technicalassistancetoimprove alignment ofcapitaland servicesacross various programs and platforms to accelerate production and preservation of affordable housing.

  • Leadpolicy and advocacystrategiesacrossthe PNW inOregon andWashingtonto accelerate production and preservation of affordable housing, including managing policy and program consultant contract(s) andpartneringwith the National Director ofState and Local policy.RepresentEnterpriseonvariouscoalitions.

  • Identifyand pursue research opportunities and produce research that advances affordable housing production and preservation in the field, includingfor exampleresearch related tofinancing,resident services,operationalsustainability,asset and property management, community development, etc.Partner with Enterprise's Policy & Development Research teamto align research opportunities.

  • Ensure coordination acrossotherkey EnterprisePNWprogram areas -Early Learning FinancingandPartner Sustainability.

  • Coordinate relationships with top Enterprise public, privateand community development partners.

  • Ensure the work is connected to Enterprise's national priorities and resources, such asUpwardMobility,Partner Sustainability, theImpact and Evaluationteam, Enterprise Community Loan Fundand Enterprise Investmentsand workwith Enterprise's national team to deliver scalable capital solutions to meet local needs

  • Participate inoffice'sleadership team.Guidethe development of work plans with senior staff,engender a culture of shared leadership, and ensure the delivery of high-quality programmatic work.

  • Help create effective internal office systems andassistwith office operations and guiding administrative support.Supportanalyzingand improvingorganizational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency

Externally Directed:

  • Cultivate and deepen strategic partnerships with key stakeholders at thenational,state,regionaland local level

  • Participate in public speaking opportunities at conferences

  • Support the Development Director in fundraising activities

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experiencedesigning/administeringhousing programs,developingor financingaffordable housing,or providing technicalassistanceon land use, development,financingor policy.

  • 10+years experiencein the field ofhousing andcommunity development.

  • 5+ years of management experience.

  • Familiarity with the federal,stateand local policy landscapes related tohousing.

  • Well-developed adaptive leadership and problem-solving skills.

  • Stronginterpersonal communication andgroupfacilitation skills.

  • Strong organizational skills anddemonstratedproject management experience,managing complex efforts and diverse teamslocatedacross multiple offices.

  • Demonstrated commitment to advancingequitableopportunities for historically underserved communities and addressing persistent inequities.

  • Available for travelacross the two-state region.

Salary Transparency

You will be joining a team of talented professionals motivated by serving the community and addressing the need for affordable housing.

Enterprise offers a comprehensive total rewards package for you and your family. The pay range for this position is$110,000 - $140,000. The salary rangerepresentsthe low and high end of what may be paid for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range, and compensation decisions may be influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
