The Executive Planner serves as the primary financial planning advisor for highly compensated participants by delivering comprehensive financial planning, workplace benefits optimization, and personalized wealth management guidance. This role develops long-term relationships with executive participants, helping them navigate complex financial decisions and align their workplace benefits, investment strategies, and financial resources with their long-term objectives.
As a senior member of the Workplace Planning and Executive Engagement team, the Executive Planner combines deep financial planning expertise with a consultative, relationship-driven approach to deliver holistic financial guidance. Success in this role requires exceptional planning knowledge, the ability to simplify complex financial concepts, and a proactive mindset focused on deepening client relationships, identifying planning opportunities, and delivering an exceptional client experience.
What You Will Do
  • Serve as the primary financial planning advisor for highly compensated participants by building trusted, long-term relationships through personalized financial guidance.
  • Conduct comprehensive workplace benefits optimization reviews during initial and ongoing planning engagements.
  • Develop, present, and implement customized financial plans tailored to each participant's financial goals, family circumstances, and long-term objectives.
  • Provide guidance on retirement planning, investment management, tax-efficient strategies, estate planning considerations, cash flow, education planning, insurance, and risk management.
  • Recommend, implement, and periodically review investment strategies aligned with participant goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon.
  • Conduct meaningful financial planning conversations that identify opportunities to strengthen participant engagement and expand long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with participants' attorneys, accountants, and other trusted professionals, as appropriate, to support comprehensive financial planning strategies.
  • Mentor and support Benefits Planners and Financial Benefits Consultants by sharing planning expertise, coaching best practices, and fostering professional development.
  • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory developments, tax law changes, and financial planning best practices to provide current and relevant guidance.
  • Maintain accurate client records and planning documentation in accordance with FINRA, SEC, state insurance, and company regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.

What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification required.
  • Active FINRA Series 7 license required.
  • Active FINRA Series 63 and Series 65 licenses, or Series 66, required.
  • State Life Insurance License required.
  • FINRA Fingerprinting required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or financial advisory services, including experience advising high-net-worth or executive clients.
  • Demonstrated success developing, presenting, and managing comprehensive financial plans for clients with complex financial planning needs.
  • Strong knowledge of investment management, retirement planning, tax-efficient planning, estate planning, executive benefits, and risk management strategies.
  • Demonstrated consultative relationship management skills with the ability to build trust, deepen client relationships, and identify planning opportunities.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively to executive-level participants.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with financial planning software such as MoneyGuidePro, NaviPlan, or similar planning platforms, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience advising corporate executives, highly compensated employees, or high-net-worth individuals.
  • Experience with executive compensation, deferred compensation, nonqualified plans, equity compensation, and workplace retirement programs.
  • Demonstrated success building long-term client relationships through consultative financial planning and holistic wealth management.
  • Experience collaborating with attorneys, CPAs, and other professional advisors to deliver integrated financial planning solutions.
  • Advanced expertise in tax-aware investment strategies and estate planning concepts.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a passion for developing advisors and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Base Salary Range
$114,000.00 - $165,300.00
The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
