Position Overview

Empower Path Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Camas, Washington. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status, specifically focusing on mood disorders and related symptoms.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, using evidence-based practices to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in individual sessions to improve client coping strategies.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices to enhance treatment adherence and understanding.
  • Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting interventions and strategies as necessary to meet changing needs.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to provide a seamless continuum of care, ensuring all aspects of a client’s health are addressed.
  • Stay current with the latest evidence and developments in mental health treatment, particularly in mood disorder care, informing your practice and contributing to patient outcomes.
  • Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, assessments, and progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate actively in professional development activities, case consultations, and team meetings to enhance your skills and contribute to a culture of excellence.
  • Advocate for clients, working to de-stigmatize mental health issues and ensuring that their voices are heard in the treatment process.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele facing challenges associated with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW within the state of Washington.

  • A minimum of three years of post-licensure experience, particularly with mood disorders and related mental health issues.
  • Strong expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, specifically CBT and DBT.

Compensation and Benefits
