Empower Path Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Camas, Washington. As part of a hospice center, you will play a critical role in creating supportive environments for clients undergoing significant life transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status, specifically focusing on mood disorders and related symptoms.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, using evidence-based practices to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in individual sessions to improve client coping strategies.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices to enhance treatment adherence and understanding.
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting interventions and strategies as necessary to meet changing needs.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to provide a seamless continuum of care, ensuring all aspects of a client’s health are addressed.
• Stay current with the latest evidence and developments in mental health treatment, particularly in mood disorder care, informing your practice and contributing to patient outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, assessments, and progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in professional development activities, case consultations, and team meetings to enhance your skills and contribute to a culture of excellence.
• Advocate for clients, working to de-stigmatize mental health issues and ensuring that their voices are heard in the treatment process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele facing challenges associated with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Your empathetic approach will be essential in allowing clients to express their unique experiences and challenges, thereby enriching their path to recovery. Accessibility and understanding are pivotal as you support clients from varied backgrounds, recognizing the nuances of their individual circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW within the state of Washington.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of post-licensure experience, particularly with mood disorders and related mental health issues.
• Strong expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, specifically CBT and DBT.
• Familiarity with psychopharmacology and the ability to integrate treatment with medical professionals’ input.
• A proven record of achieving client-centered results and favorable treatment outcomes, particularly with mood disorders.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to establish meaningful connections with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
