Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Location: Battle Creek, MI (LifeCare Ambulance)
Shift: 12-hour shifts

At LifeCare Ambulance, we are always ready to respond with highly trained medical crews and lifesaving resources. Headquartered in Battle Creek, we proudly serve Branch, St. Joseph, Berrien, Kalamazoo, Barry, Eaton, and Calhoun counties.
In This Role You Will:
  • Deliver Exceptional Care: Maintain high clinical standards while providing basic life support, including CPR, airway management, oxygen application, bleeding control, and splinting.
  • Ensure Safe Transport: Safely operate ambulances and manage patient handling, including proficient stretcher operations, lifting, and loading.
  • Provide Compassionate Service: Treat patients, family members, and facility staff with the utmost respect, providing both emergency and convalescent care.
  • Collaborate Professionally: Work under hospital-approved medical protocols and cooperate effectively with a diverse range of healthcare partners and co-workers.

Required Qualifications
  • Licensure: Current State of Michigan EMT License.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Valid CPR certification.
  • Driving Record: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Physical Ability: Physically capable of lifting and moving patients and carrying heavy medical equipment.
  • Vetting: Ability to pass a company-sponsored background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Certifications: PHTLS or ITLS certification (Note: PHTLS training can be provided upon hire).
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress environments.
