SEX OFFENDER MANAGEMENT BOARD THERAPIST

Provides program oversight and treatment services for the Community Responsibility Program (CRP). Conducts assessment interviews, offense-specific groups, individual/family reunification/victim impact sessions, and crisis intervention.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees the CRP Specialized Treatment Program.
  • Maintains SOSTCC contract compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge and compliance with the SOMB standards.
  • Reviews referrals and assessments for appropriateness in the CRP program (based on acceptance criteria).
  • Interviews and consults with potential CRP clients.
  • Facilitates group and individual therapy sessions.
  • Provides direct short-term intervention services to stabilize clients, crisis interventions, and safety evaluations
  • Completes regulatory agency and Division of Criminal Justice State of Work required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participates in mental health on-call and crisis response.
  • Provides input and follow-up on client needs assessment and appropriate programming.
  • Serves as a resource to staff regarding sex offender population.
  • Develops and conducts educational seminars/training.
  • Participates in the CRP Policy Committee meetings.
  • Promotes and demonstrates the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Embrave.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments, the management team, regulatory agencies and community partners.
  • Embraces cultural diversity amongst ourselves and our community.
  • Responsible for the human, financial, and material resources as well as data and information entrusted to us.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:  None.

EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE:

Full Operating Level SOMB Provider licensure with three years of experience.
