Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to thoroughly understand each client’s mental health history and current challenges.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate a range of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Systems Therapy.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that encourage personal growth and resilience.
• Establish clear therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients and track their progress through regular follow-up and reassessment.
• Ensure meticulous documentation to maintain ethical standards and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in training sessions and workshops focused on innovative practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients range from children to adults, encompassing various mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. As an LMFT at Elevance Wellness Center, you will play a critical role in helping clients navigate these difficulties and empower them towards recovery and enhanced emotional stability.

Qualifications

• Active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Connecticut is mandatory.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a trusting therapeutic alliance with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients' experiences and challenges.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with teletherapy practices and familiarity with digital health technologies.
• Specialized training or certifications in trauma-informed care, addiction counseling, or familial dynamics is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in a clinical or community setting and a working knowledge of local resources for mental health support.
