Elder Ridge Manor Ii

Direct Care Staff provide compassionate, person-centered support to residents in our Adult Foster Care (AFC) home. This role focuses on assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing overall quality of life in a home-like environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

* Meal preparation and feeding (if needed)

* Administer medications as directed and in accordance with AFC policies and training

* Provide companionship and emotional support to residents

* Assist with housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment

* Respond to emergencies and follow proper reporting procedures

* Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare professionals

**Qualifications:**

* Previous experience in caregiving, direct care, or healthcare preferred, but not mandatory

* CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain as we will provide)

* Ability to pass background check

* Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

* Compassionate, patient, and dependable

**Physical Requirements:**

* Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with mobility (may require lifting up to 40 lbs)

* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

**Work Environment:**

* Residential home setting

* May include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts depending on shift hired for
