Position Summary

The District Manager (DM) serves as a key representative of Edustaff within assigned school districts. This field-based role is ideal for a driven, adaptable professional who values independence, meaningful work, and collaboration with school leaders. With diverse responsibilities and limited summer hours, the DM ensures successful staffing operations and fosters strong district partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and District Management:

  • Act as the primary contact for all district inquiries.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate substitute employees to fulfill district staffing needs.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from substitute employees, school districts, and corporate office.
  • Monitor the dispatching system and handle job assignments as needed daily.
  • Conduct classroom workshops for new applicants.
  • Coordinate documentation flow between assigned districts and corporate office.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish a strong presence in the designated coverage area.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with community and district stakeholders to support district requirements.
  • Collaborate with supervisors on addressing concerns within partnering districts.
  • Support other District Managers within the state as necessary.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze substitute utilization data for sharing with district contacts.
  • Develop Key Performance Goals and strategies to meet performance targets for each district partnership.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of processes, procedures, and database applications.
  • Conduct visits and meetings at school sites with administrators and district personnel.

Marketing, Sales & Recruitment:

  • Plan and execute recruitment efforts such as job fairs and community events.
  • Distribute marketing materials to partnering districts and the community.
  • Assist applicants through the application process, including emergency hires when needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (education, business, or related field)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Confident public speaker and presenter
  • High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel to various locations up to 75% of the time

Physical Requirements
