Educational Therapy Professionals

Salary: $48-$56 per hour

We have a wonderful opportunity for a Special Education teacher to provide in-person services at a public charter school located in Yuma, Arizona. We are looking for contract employees for the 26-27 school year.

Information:

You must be able/willing to prepare and execute lesson plans for students. Our SpEd teachers must be able to adjust the curriculum for the needs of their students and track their progress according to the goals listed on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Experience in schools is preferred but training can be offered for the right candidate.

Locations: Yuma, Arizona

Hours: Full-time

Requirements:

• BS degree
• Have Arizona teachers license for Special Education
• Experience with children in a special education setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
  
• Must live in Arizona due to tax and contracting laws

Special Education Teacher Duties and Responsibilities:

• Case management
• Teach the core content area(s) outlined in the Arizona State Board of Educations Academic Standards, correlated with other approved learning activities that are tailored to each students individual needs
• Document student progress towards meeting established objectives
• Follow Arizona Professional Teaching Standards, anchored to the national InTASC (Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium)
• Accurately implement all aspects of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
