Program Summary
Edgewood's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides individualized therapy, family counseling, group therapy, and comprehensive psychological assessments for youth, young adults, and families throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Located on Edgewood's Vicente campus, CAPS offers a welcoming and healing environment, with services also available in Burlingame and through secure telehealth. Our multidisciplinary team supports children, youth, young adults, and families through evidence-based and family-centered approaches that promote resilience, growth, and emotional well-being.
Position Summary
The CAPS Program Manager provides leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for Edgewood's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) program. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Counseling Services, this position is responsible for ensuring the efficient administration, growth, and day-to-day operations of the clinic. The Program Manager supports clinical compliance, workflow and system development, clinical and administrative training, and documentation review. They serve as a key liaison between clinical staff, administrative functions, referral partners, families, and Edgewood leadership to support exceptional client experiences and sustainable program growth.
Essential Functions
  • Oversee clinical compliance processes of the CAPS program, including documentation review, clinician training, agency policies, privacy standards, accreditation requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Supports daily non-clinical operations of the CAPS program.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains operational systems, policies, and procedures that support efficient service delivery.
  • Coordinates administrative workflows across therapy, assessment, intake, scheduling, billing, and client services.
  • Monitor program performance indicators and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Ensure smooth communication and coordination among clinical staff, administrative staff, and Edgewood leadership.
  • Supports client onboarding, referral pipelines, waitlists, scheduling systems, and service capacity.
  • Develops and maintain relationships with schools, pediatricians, healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral partners.
  • Represents CAPS at community meetings, networking events, and outreach activities.
  • Coordinates program audits, documentation reviews, and quality improvement activities
  • Maintains accurate records, reports, and operational documentation.
  • Assists with risk management and continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Provide supervision and leadership to clinical, administrative, and support staff as assigned.
  • Coordinate staff training, onboarding, and professional development activities related to operational functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, etc. (license eligible) Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible program management, operations, healthcare administration, behavioral health administration, or nonprofit leadership experience.Demonstrated experience managing complex operational processes and multiple priorities.Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.Proficiency with electronic health record systems, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and data reporting tools.Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CA Licensed Psychologist, MFT, LCSW, or equivalent.
  • Experience with program growth, business development, and community outreach.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health regulations, insurance processes, and clinical service environments.

The salary range for this position is: $95,000.00- $112,000.00 As part of our team, benefits-eligible employees receive an excellent comprehensive benefits package:
