Job description

Description:

Hey there! We’re Edelman, and we’re looking for an HVAC Installation Rockstar.

At Edelman, we don’t just "install units"—we build the infrastructure for families in our community. We are a "World Class" organization looking for installers who take pride in the craftsmanship that lives behind the wall. If you are tired of working for companies that cut corners and you want to be part of a team that values clean, code-compliant, and professional work, you’re in the right place.

You Should Apply If:
  • You’re a Master of Craftsmanship. You care about "surgical precision" when running line sets and gas piping.
  • You’re Humbly Confident. You know your stuff, but you’re always willing to learn a better way to do it.
  • You’re a Professional. You treat a job site like it’s your own home—clean, organized, and respected.
  • You’re a Finisher. You love the feeling of seeing a project through from the initial rough-in to the final startup.
  • You Want Growth. You’re looking for a clear pathway to move from a Level 2 Installer to a Lead.
You Shouldn’t Apply If:
  • You think "it’s just a duct" and don't care how it looks.
  • You prefer to work alone and struggle to coordinate with other trades on-site.
  • You aren't interested in growing your skills or earning your certifications.
Your Daily Mission:
  • Technical Excellence: Install furnaces, air handlers, condensers, and ventilation systems. You’ll run line sets, drain lines, and gas piping with absolute precision.
  • Blueprint Accuracy: Read and follow mechanical plans to ensure systems are placed correctly the first time.
  • The Edelman Standard: Maintain a "better than we found it" job site. You’ll keep your vehicle clean and stocked (80/20 program) to stay efficient.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside builders and site supervisors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Startup & Testing: Ensure everything meets local codes and troubleshoot on-site so the system is 100% ready for the homeowner.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • The Experience: 6 months to 3 years of residential HVAC installation experience.
  • The Credentials: EPA Certification (Required—but if you don't have it yet, we’ll give you a $1.00/hr raise the second you get it!).
  • The Tools: You’ve got the basic hand tools needed for Level 2 install work.
  • The Drive: A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check/drug screen.
  • The Hustle: Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying Illinois weather.
Why Edelman?
  • Competitive Pay: Get rewarded for your craft, $19–$25 per hour (plus incentives)
  • Career Advancement: We don't just give you a job; we give you a path. We'll help you develop the skills to move from maintenance to high-level service.
  • Stability: A consistent schedule with a supportive team that has your back.
  • The Loyalty Program: We think long-term. Our loyalty program runs for 50 years—the longer you stay, the more you earn.
  • Total Protection: Health insurance (we cover a portion!), Vision, Dental, and a $25,000 Life Insurance policy at no cost to you.
  • Future Focus: 401k through Vanguard with a 4% company match.
  • The Perks: Access to "Access Perks" for discounts on travel, food, and shopping, plus voluntary benefits like Short-Term Disability.
Our DNA (The Edelman Way)

Our mission is to make the world a better place, one home at a time. From the Heartland to Florida, we are rooted in faith, family, and a commitment to excellence. We don’t just hire for skills; we hire for heart. If these values sound like you, you’ll fit right in:

  • We Are Solutions Driven: We don’t just spot problems; we fix them. We embrace challenges with creativity and determination.
  • We Are Radically Honest: Integrity is our heartbeat. We believe in total transparency and accountability. We do the right thing—even when the walls are about to be closed up and no one is watching.
  • We Are Humbly Confident: We are experts at what we do, but we keep our feet on the ground. We celebrate our wins, learn from our mistakes, and treat every teammate and customer with genuine respect and kindness.
