Primary Purpose
Provide visionary leadership for the District's instructional program by directing the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, federal programs, and strategic instructional initiatives. Lead districtwide efforts to improve student achievement through implementation of the Effective Schools Framework (ESF), the Texas Accountability System, and evidence-based instructional practices.
Direct and oversee all Title I, Part A programs and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements while maximizing available resources to support student success. Provide executive leadership for the district's Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) system, ensuring implementation with fidelity and alignment to district strategic goals, educator effectiveness, and teacher retention initiatives.
Serve as a member of the Superintendent's executive leadership team and provide leadership in developing principals, instructional leaders, and central office administrators to ensure equitable, high-quality instructional opportunities for all students.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
- Master's degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field
- Valid Texas Principal Certificate or Mid-Management Certificate
- Texas Superintendent Certificate preferred
- T-PESS Certification
- T-TESS Appraiser Certification
- Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Measurement, or related field preferred
Experience-Required
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful district administrative experience with progressively increasing leadership responsibilities
- Experience leading curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, and federal programs
- Experience implementing school improvement initiatives and leading district accountability efforts
- Experience managing federal grants and Teacher Incentive Allotment implementation
