Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an ON-SITE Junior Database Administrator. Join our IT Operations Team and become a member of a highly productive team, where each employee has the opportunity to grow their skills and work on rewarding system and network operations projects. The selected candidate will perform the following functions:
Installing, configuring, hardening, patching, tuning, and upgrading Oracle and Microsoft SQL Databases
Hardening Databases in accordance with system security policies and DISA's Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Troubleshooting issues to restore operations
Assisting with COT's installations, tuning, and troubleshooting
Performing vulnerability scans and remediating findings
Creating and maintaining technical documentation to include technical instructions and technical designs
Design, implement, and validate comprehensive database backup schedules and disaster recovery procedures, including regular restoration testing to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Investigate and resolve user issues
