Ecko Cabinetry a small locally owned and operated company is seeking an experienced Cabinet Designer to join our team. We want someone who is exceptionally detail oriented, highly organized and flexible to change, thrives in a small office environment, and has expertise in custom cabinet design and drafting. This position requires solid customer service and effective communication skills, and a friendly and open personality. The Cabinet Design serves as the main point of contact during the design phase and is responsible for working with clients and various internal departments to accurately engineer and design custom cabinets using design software. Some travel may be required to meet with clients and perform final measurement of design space.

JOB TITLE: Cabinet Designer

INTERACTS FREQUENTLY WITH: Clients/ Homeowners, Sales Management, Building Contractors, Supporting Vendors and Manufacturer Representatives , Sub Contractors and installers, Interior Designers, Architects, and Controller/ Book Keeper

JOB OBJECTIVE: Assist clients with all aspects of cabinet design: to include layout, elevations, coordination, and selections within specified cabinet manufacturers. Able to tailor design and components to the scope of the client’s project. Deign will include, but not limited to Kitchens, Bathrooms, Laundry, Wet Bars, Closets, and Outdoor Kitchens within the design components as it relates to creating an overall vision, stylistic fluency, and design collaborative within the scope and budget of the project. Once design is finalized compile all components and present a comprehensive proposal to supply cabinetry and install per the design.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cabinet Designer:

• Design and draft custom cabinets from blueprints and customer specifications using Cabinet Vision software to ensure proper cabinet fit and function.
• Document design specifications such as material and hardware selections, design and other details as requested by the customer.
• Communicate design ideas clearly both visually and verbally, and proactively follow-up with cost and scheduling updates to clients during the design process.
• Enthusiastically interact with all clients. Meeting with the clients to ascertain the intended functions and appearance of each space
• Recommend products based on company standards while balancing client needs.
• Prepare bid proposals and revisions, and work with clients for approval.
• Confer with sales and manufacturer reps to coordinate accurate and realistic schedules.
• Provide back-up support to sales and production as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in custom cabinet design is required.
• Knowledge of industry standards and cabinet construction methods, fabrication and installation techniques.
• Proficiency with custom cabinet engineering software 20/20 software is preferred, and experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to accurately perform basic math functions and understanding of geometry and trigonometry.
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through on all projects, tasks and assignments.
