Are you a compassionate and patient-focused Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner seeking a rewarding and challenging opportunity? Eagle Physicians & Associates is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Eagle Sleep Medicine team.

Schedule

  • Mondayโ€“Thursday
  • 7:45 AMโ€“5:30 PM
  • Shift hours will vary based on the needs of the practice as determined by the Practice Administrator

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a nationally recognized Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner training program.
  • Certification preferred; NC licensed โ€“ required.
  • One -Three years of experience preferred.

Paid Maternity/Paternity Leave

After one year of employment and 1,250 hours worked, Eagle provides up to two weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave for the birth or adoption of a child. Leave is prorated based on FTE status.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care in a cost-effective, efficient, and compassionate manner while maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients within the scope of practice, exercising sound clinical judgment and seeking consultation when appropriate.
  • Build and maintain professional, respectful relationships with patients, families, physicians, colleagues, and external healthcare partners through clear and effective communication.
  • Maintain an efficient patient schedule while delivering quality care and meeting productivity expectations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, diagnostic coding, CPT coding, and appropriate utilization of medical supplies, ancillary services, and specialty consultations.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, dependability, and a positive team-oriented attitude while supporting practice operations and organizational goals.
  • Participate in required meetings, committees, quality improvement initiatives, and organizational activities that promote practice growth and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain current licensure, certifications, professional affiliations, and continuing education requirements to ensure ongoing clinical competency.
  • Safeguard patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and protecting all Protected Health Information (PHI) and medical records.
  • Promote a safe clinical environment by following infection control practices, safety protocols, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Uphold Eagle Physicians' Vision, Mission, Values, and commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through daily interactions and professional conduct.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support patient care and organizational success.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner principles, practices, and standards of patient care.
  • Knowledge of clinical policies, healthcare regulations, medical terminology, pharmacology, and evidence-based practice.
  • Proficiency in evaluating, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions within scope of practice.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment, instruments, safety protocols, and infection prevention standards.
  • Strong critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize patient care effectively.
  • Ability to accurately document patient encounters, maintain medical records, complete reports, and ensure coding accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to educate patients and collaborate effectively with physicians, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships while demonstrating professionalism, compassion, integrity, and respect.
  • Ability to interpret, apply, and adapt clinical guidelines, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard medical office technology.
